Ruka Bike Park will open again on 7.6.2024.

Up with a lift, down by bike. From the cottage to the slopes and on to conquering the fell. Ruka-Kuusamo provides the setting, equipment, and landscape for diverse downhill biking— trails for demanding customers and beginners, adults and kids, with a technical or casual focus.

DH biking, an action-packed exercise in a stunning setting, is also environmentally friendly. A carbon-neutral lift takes you to the top, and you descend using the force of gravity and your own muscle power.

Ski passes for bikers

Taking your bike to the fell peak is wonderfully simple with the Village-2-Valley gondola and Village Express chair lift. You can buy a ski pass for bikers in advance online or in Ruka from self-service kiosks or the service counter of the Piste rental shop.

DH bike hire

Ruka-Kuusamo offers high-quality and well maintained rental bikes that come with equipment, also for kids. You will be instructed on how to use the bike when renting.

Guided DH biking

Our trained bike park instructors lead you safely into the world of DH biking. It’s a guaranteed adventure, whether you’re a beginner or you already have some DH biking experience under your belt. We have guided DH biking for both kids and adults.

Family bike park for kids

Rosa & Rudolf Family Park has a magic carpet lift open for the youngest bikers and four easy bike trails during summer. In addition, there is an asphalted pump track next to the Family Park, which is suitable for riding a bike, skating, or scooting. Family Park and pump track are free to use without an admission fee.

Ruka Bike Park rules

Check that your equipment works. Always wear a helmet. Other protective gear is recommended.
Select your trail and speed according to your skills and conditions. Get to know the locations in advance. Take detours if necessary.
Overtake others on the slope from a sufficient distance. Those coming downhill and from behind always give way.
Stay on the trail, do not change it or create shortcuts.
Only stop in places where you can be easily spotted. If you return to the top, climb up outside of the trail.
Take others and yourself into account!
Using our trails under the influence of alcohol and other intoxicating substances is forbidden.
You always cycle at your own risk.
Everyone has a responsibility to help in case of an accident. Report accidents to staff without delay.
Always follow trail signs and instructions from staff. Staff members have the right to remove the ski pass of a person who fails to comply with the slope rules.
